On Tuesday, March 11,2025, our beloved David S.Whitehurst Jr. returned to the arms of our Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ. He passed away peacefully at home. He rejoins his cherished wife of sixty-one years, Susie D. Whitehurst, and his parents, David S Whitehurst Sr. and Florence Whitehurst.

David’s children, Crystal Whitehurst, David Whitehurst III (wife, Sandra Whitehurst), and Daryle Whitehurst (late wife, Donna Whitehurst),were his pride and joy. His legacy of strength, love, and wisdom lives on through his grandchildren: Skyler Fordjour (husband, Richard Fordjour),Trevor Whitehurst (wife, Bethania Whitehurst), Joshua Pate (wife,Taylor Pate), Ashly Pate, and April Pate, as well as his great-grandchildren, River Fordjour, Denver Fordjour, and Richard FordjourJr.; Victoria Pate and Amelia Whitehurst.

A life long resident and pillar of the Seatack, VirginiaBeach community, David was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His dedication to his family and community left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

David’s love, service, and legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
